In order to make money from a step-by-step guide, you need to include links to your own product links, or affiliate products before distributing it. Seems obvious, but it’s easy to forget.
One particularly useful aspect of creating step-by-step guides is that targeting newcomers often results in a certain amount of loyalty. For example if you write a guide explaining how to go about creating a website and in your step-by-step guide show exactly how to go about opening a hosting account (through your affiliate link ) and explain how to upload the website or set up a blog etc. Chances are the newcomer will join the hosting you are promoting because they will be too scared to get hosting through another company in case the explanation in your guide won’t apply.
This loyalty also extends to other report you create. If your readers have found your guide useful, they will be far more willing to purchase the next guide you create. You can capitalize on this by advertising other products from within each guide you create.
Step-by-Step Guides Are Often Self Promoting
A well written and presented step-by-step guide can become a fantastic viral product which will be passed from person to person with little or no promotion on your part. If you distribute free guides and allow your readers to give them away for free, your guides will rapidly spread across the internet to a huge audience.
You will make money from the guides from the links within the guides, and if you include a link to your optin list or newsletter, you can build a list of subscribers in a relatively short period of time. Always bear in mind that each new subscriber is another potential customer, especially for the new guides you create.
